On Thursday April 6th, three of our Youth Entrepreneur students participated in The Big Idea competition sponsored by Youth Entrepreneurs. Students were given a business scenario and had to create a solution. The West Phoenix YE team competed against 15 other school teams in hoping to win $750 in educational or business related items. Although our YE Eagles did not win first place, their performance was outstanding. We would like to thank the families of each of our students for attending the competition and awards ceremony.
We are looking for new YE students for next year. The program allows students to earn both elective and Economics credit. The Youth Entrepreneur class participates in two different Market Day events, at which students create their own businesses and can earn profits from the event. The class allows for up to 26 students to join the two block program.
