Mario Giron,
Mario Giron, well known to his students as "Mr. Mario," was born in Central America in the country of Honduras. He went to high school at Kingsburg High School in California. Mr. Giron then attended Fresno Pacific University in Fresno, California where he graduated with a B.A. in Education with an emphasis in mathematics. Shortly after graduating, he spent two years in the Middle East (Kuwait) working as a civilian for the military as a fitness trainer. He then joined the West Phoenix team in 2009 and currently teaches remedial math. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer and racket ball. He believes that we can never stop learning, and he follows the three L's (Life-Long Learning). Mr. Giron has been quoted, "Math is more than a subject; it’s a necessity." He enjoys working at West Phoenix because he gets to know each student as an individual. "I like how my students respect me as a teacher and view me as someone they can trust."
